Hi, I'm Anna, welcome to Embrace The Journey Counseling and Wellness! My mission is to empower individuals to embrace change and personal growth, helping them manage challenges such as anxiety and life transitions. Life often presents us with unexpected situations that can feel extremely uncomfortable. Many of us have experienced these feelings, and my role is to guide you through these changes. I work collaboratively with you to identify goals and overcome barriers to achieve emotional well-being.
My specialties include life transitions counseling, particularly for issues like grief, loss, divorce, and career changes. I utilize a mixture of therapy methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused techniques, strength-based approaches, and grief therapy.
I am licensed in both Georgia and Alabama, offering virtual therapy sessions to individuals aged 18 and older.
When I'm not in therapy sessions, you can find me at the beach (one of my happy places), hiking a wooded trail with my dog Piper (see her bio below), reading, doing yoga, gardening, and enjoying life with my family.

Piper is a golden retriever who shares my office at Embrace The Journey, where I provide counseling for anxiety, grief therapy, and life transitions counseling. She has been my sidekick for over 7 years now. More than likely during your virtual therapy session, you will see her in the camera heading to her bed or quietly coming up for a pet on the head. She loves people, food, the beach, and naps! Hopefully, her presence will help to put you at ease or bring a smile during your session.

My approach is centered on empathy and understanding, ensuring that you feel safe and supported throughout your journey, whether through grief therapy or virtual therapy options.
